Water as usual? NuWater and Covid 19

The advent of Covid 19 cases in Zimbabwe took a toll on the business as normal. The lockdown effected in Zimbabwe end of March saw our business among others asking teams to stay home in order to join in the national fight to keep the COVD infection rate down.

NuWater believes in the safety of its employees as they are the lifeline behind the company’s success. Their health is a priority and as such the company has shifted in line with adopting to the COVID normal, allowing employees to work remotely whenever possible. The advent of remote working as seen more work being done with the aid of computers, design software, online communication and collaboration programs such as Teams and Zoom. Personnel travels to site for technical inspections and works, which cannot be carried out remotely.

Water is life, and it is essential the service to produce safe and clean water is continuously provided. Our water treatment plants are used by various sectors and find use in small to medium and large-scale applications, depending on the quality and quantity of water to be treated. Our treatment plants are bespoke hence they are able to deal with individual customer requirements. Each treatment plant is designed with remote monitoring capability hence they can be monitored off site, hence making them accessible even in the midst of the lockdown regulations. This means, water is still treated to optimum quality, with or without personnel on the ground. And physical checks can be less frequent so as to comply with the government regulations and WHO recommendations.
