Shabanie-Mashava Mine owned Turnall Holdings Board Chaiperson, Mrs Rita Likukuma,has retired from the asbestos manufacturing company.
Mrs Likukuma retired recently at the company’s eighteenth Annual General Meeting held on June 30.She did not offer herself for reelection.
Company Secretary Samson Mavende spoke glowingly of Mrs Likukuma for turning around the Turnall’s fortunes during her tenure.
“The Board, Management and staff would like to thank Mrs Rita Likukuma for her many years of dedicated service and commitment to Turnall.
“She took over as chairperson when the business was making loses and had a weak balance sheet and she managed to steer the business to profitability and solvency.” During the AGM, Turnall approved the increase of Authorised Share Capital by an additional 500 000 000 ordinary shares of ZWL0.01.
