As the lithium mining giant, Prospect Lithium Zimbabwe celebrated two years recently, General Manager Henry Zhu said the company was destined for greatness despite soldiering on numerous challenges and obstacles that came their way.
Zhu said their preparedness and advancement in technology helped them weather the storm and steer the ship to greatness.

‘In the ever-evolving landscape of the lithium industry, adaptability and resilience are key factors for success. Over the past two years, we have faced numerous challenges and obstacles, but through sheer determination and hard work, we have not only weathered the storm but emerged stronger than ever.
‘Our ability to adapt to changing market conditions, technological advancements, and regulatory changes has allowed us to stay ahead of the curve and continue to grow and thrive,’ he said.
Zhu said the company will remain guided by the country’s regulations as the lithium miner was exploring avenues to rollout plans for a state-of-the-art lithium sulphate plant.
“One of the key values we uphold at PLZ is our support for government regulations that promote value addition in our industry. We believe that by adding value to our products, we can create more opportunities for economic growth and development in our country.”
‘I am excited to announce that we are currently doing feasibility studies for a state-of-the-art lithium sulphate plant. This plant will not only enhance our production capabilities but also contribute to the overall well-being of our country and economy. By investing in this plant, we are demonstrating our commitment to sustainable growth and development,’ he said.
Speaking on the same occasion, PLZ Workers Committee Member Kuzivakwashe Kwenda said the two years were not a stroll in park.
‘The past two years have been filled with challenges, uncertainties, and obstacles, but through it all, we have persevered, adapted, and thrived. Our industry is dynamic and constantly evolving, and it is through our resilience and determination that we have been able to navigate through the storms and emerge stronger and more united than ever before.
‘I would like to take this opportunity to commend our exceptional employees who have gone above and beyond their duties to contribute to the success of our company. Your hard work, dedication, and innovative spirit have been instrumental in driving our growth and propelling us to new heights. Today, we celebrate your achievements and thank you for your relentless pursuit of excellence.
