Zimbabwe Miners Federation national executive council has unanimously agreed to reinstate Henrietta Rushwaya as the federation’s president following a special executive meeting held today.
ZiMining has it on good authority that, Rushwaya is back in office after she was suspended late last year as she was arrested at Robert Gabriel Mugabe for allegedly attempting to smuggle 6kgs of gold to Dubai.
The meeting overturned Rushwaya’s earlier suspension saying it was done unprocedurally.
According to the minutes of the meeting in the hands of ZiMining, Rushwaya was reinstated to her position and resumed duties immediately.
“The following ZMF Executive Members who attended the meeting unanimously agreed and signed to reinstate Henrietta Rushwaya as Zimbabwe Miners Federation President and to resume duties hitherto forthwith,” part of the minutes read.
More details to follow.
